Bunnies and Bowls

The hubs has gotten invited to some pretty awesome events through his work and last weekend I got to tag along to two of the coolest -- well in my opinion anyway! Yes, that's right people, we went to the P.layboy Mansion and hung out with some Bunnies and then to the H.ollywood Bowl. Both amazing for different reasons. Both events were for the annual P.layboy Jazz Festival.

It was so surreal to be at the Mansion. The property is huge and you definitely don't feel like you are in L.A. and the outside of the home is beautiful. There were some pretty quirky parts and you can tell that nothing has really been updated since the late 70s! But then you think of the craziness and dibachery that has gone on there, all the people who have been there and you just have to kind of laugh and say I can't believe we are here! I could go on, but I've overloaded this post with pictures so I'll just let you take a visual tour. The pics don't do it justice, but they sure help. Enjoy...

Ok, quick story. I am DEATHLY afraid of birds and as you may or may not know there are birds and animals running rampant around the Mansion grounds. Well, while being given a tour by one of the P.layboy Bunnies;) we were seriously almost attacked by Spike the bird. This picture is blurry because we were being told to run zig zag across the big hill that they usually have the big summer slip and slide on (G.irls N.ext Door anyone?) The picture isn't distorted, that's how close the bird was to us (that's the hub's co-worker trying to protect me.) I was so scared and my heart was beating and my drink was spilling and I got all sweaty. Funny now, not so funny then!

Sunday it was off to the H.ollywood Bowl. I have been wanting to go here for years and I was SOOO excited to get there. It was amazing and we had incredible seats. It was the perfect first Bowl experience.

We were in one of the private boxes right in front of the stage, like maybe six feet from it. We couldn't believe it.

We weren't sure how the music would be, we aren't huge jazz enthusiasts. But we were pleasantly surprised. It was so fun. This group really got the crowd going.

Us by our box, I could have jumped right up there and got my groove on.

Our weekend with the Bunnies, the Bowl and the Jazz was so great. Going to the Mansion was one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I'm so thankful I had with my babe. We can't wait to go back to the Bowl, such a cool venue. Thanks babe for taking me along as your corporate wife to your work events;) Oh what a life...
