My Body Hates Me

So it's official my body is evil and lives to punish me. In addition to the lovely pains and nausea that have taken up residence here in the last week, I now believe I have a bladder infection complete with blood, pain and urgency -- and no the pain is not the same pain that I started having on Sunday, it's different and both pains combined are GREAT. AHHHHHHHHHH. I usually just combat these things at home with the over-the-counter pain meds and an antibiotic prescrip, but the blood adds a whole new twist.

A little background, I've suffered from reoccurring bladder infections for years. However, since the j-pouch surgery the standing prescrip that I have tends to wreak havoc on my new plumbing. But luckily up until now I haven't needed it too much because it's really just been bladder irritation, which goes away after taking the pain meds for a day or two.

Now you ask yourself, Al have you tried drinking cranberry juice, taking cranberry supplements, are you sure you empty your bladder when you need to, etc. To all of these questions I say of course I have, I was not born yesterday and I do NOT like this feeling, so I do everything I can on the preventative maintenance side of things.

So I'm off to my PCP this afternoon to have this checked out and dealt with. At least I know the drill and this part of things should subside in a day or two.

On a happier note, I had a great two days with J and A and A's mom. I will post more about that soon. Those kids sure know how to cheer a girl up. LOVE them.

Ok I think it is time to go forward with the exorcism!!! Aim and I will plan it up as the next girl’s night out. And dude seriously, if someone asks you about drinking cranberry juice or taking a cranberry supplement they must not know you very well at all and you should just unleash on them. :-) Love ya!

I honestly don't know what to say but UGH....

Glad J brought a smile to your face.
His outfit was adorable and of course was a big hit here in the office. He roared down the hall to my office, laughing that belly laugh of his and grinning ear to ear.
Please use this thought to put a smile on your face if you can muster it up.
