11th Hour Win

In the 11th hour (I guess more accurately the 27th hour) we have finally won the War against the network/IPA. They fought very hard during all the little battles along the way, wounded us and tried to get us down, but we forged ahead and NEVER gave up!

I just received word that all is finally approved for my surgery TOMORROW -- oh yeah we came down to the wire, awesome. I thought all was done on Monday morning, but I learned later Monday afternoon that the negotiation wasn't going as smooth as they'd hoped and the surgeon's office and the network/IPA spent all of Monday and yesterday going back and forth. But no matter because it's finally DONE. Almost comical and so par for the course on this crazy journey we've been on.

Now we can really just focus on surgery and recovery. It's weird and a bit surreal that this is actually happening. That I'm actually having surgery after so many months of fighting and that after almost three years I am hopefully finally on my way to getting my quality of life back. So many emotions to work through and contain.

Thank you all for your continued love and support. Again, the hubs will be updating this blog over the next week on my progress and hopefully I'll be back blogging before we know it. I'll see you all on the flip side of this whole thing. Al Out!!!
