Confirmed

Yep, it's a bladder infection and a doozy of one -- blood, high white blood count and lots of bacteria. I have a 10-day antibiotic prescription.

On my way to the appt it donned on me that although I have had reoccurring bladder infections for years, I had been doing a pretty good job of keeping them at bay until about a month and a half ago. So I got to thinking that this has to some how all be related, for heavens sake all my issues are in the same region. So I decided to ask the dr if it was possible that I had a fistula that was connecting my bowel to my bladder. She said that was a very good question and there was a big possibility that I was right, but that these kinds of fistulas or sinus tracts are VERY hard to diagnose. She said to take the meds and then mention this to my IBD team. So that's what I'm going to do when I see them on Feb 11. Here's a little more info on ileovesical fistulas.

I'm no Dr. House and I'm not trying to make up weird things, but I'm pretty sure that I'm on the right track with this one. But for now, I'm just hoping for some relief from this bladder issue and that should come in 1-2 days.

That's funny, before I read the last paragraph I was thinking, "jeez, she's like House!"
